Carolyn M. Apple, M.D., FACP, FACEP

A native of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Dr. Apple grew up near Sudlersville, Maryland and started her career in the medical field in 1977 as a registered nurse in Cambridge, Maryland and then later at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.  She graduated from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. in 1983 and obtained her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1990.  In 1993 Dr. Apple completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia Medical Center and then did a second residency in Emergency Medicine at the combined York Hospital/Penn State University program in York, Pennsylvania, where she served as chief resident. With a desire to return home to practice, Dr. Apple moved to Dover in 1996 and has practiced both Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine at Bayhealth - Kent General, in addition to Emergency Medicine in Lewes, DE, York, PA, Crisfield, MD and Chestertown, MD. With the opening of Eden Hill Medical Center, Dr. Apple assumed the position of President and Medical Director of Eden Hill Express Care, the walk-in medical care center at Eden Hill Medical Center and continues to serve as Medical Director. Dr. Apple is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians. She also served on the Board of Directors of Eden Hill Medical Center until September 2011.

Robert T Chrzanowski, M.D., FACEP

Dr. Chrzanowski was born and raised in the Delaware Valley.  After graduating from Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill, NJ, he attended and graduated Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974.  He spent his first two years of medical school at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and then transferred to complete his medical training at Medical College of Pennsylvania.  In June of 1978 he married his beautiful wife, Donna, received his medical degree and began his residency in Emergency Medicine at Medical College of Pennsylvania.  He completed his EM residency in 1981. Over the next ten years he became a father to two wonderful sons, Chris and Andrew and worked in the Emergency Department at Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Drexel Hill, PA. He and his family moved to Wyoming DE in 1991 to continue his career in the Emergency Department at Kent General Hospital in Dover DE where he practiced for 17 years. He has also worked at walk-in medical units in Dover and Smyrna, DE. but is now happy to devote himself full-time to treating patients at Eden Hill Express Care where he is the Associate Medical Director.  He is board certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians.

Dean R. Dobbert, M.D., M.P.H., FACEP

Dr. Dobbert grew up in Cleveland, Ohio before attending the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD, graduating in 1976. After serving in the U.S. Navy for five years, Dr. Dobbert returned to Ohio to attend medical school at Ohio State University, graduating in 1985. He subsequently did a residency in Emergency Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Recalling the beauty of the East Coast from his Naval Academy days, in 1988 he accepted a position as an emergency physician at Kent General Hospital in Dover, DE where he worked for the next 12 years. His interest in Emergency Medical Services prompted him to serve as Medical Director for the Delaware State Police Helicopter from 1940-94. In 1994 he assumed the position of Medical Director for the Kent County Emergency Services, a position he continues to hold today. In 2010 Dr. Dobbert obtained his Masters Degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. In addition to working at Bayhealth - Kent General Hospital, Dr. Dobbert has also worked at Beebe Medical Center, McCready Memorial Hospital and Atlantic General Hospital. In 2007 he became Medical Director at Christiana's Medical Aid Unit in Smyrna, a position he held until joining the staff at Express Care in March of 2011. Dr. Dobbert is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is a fellow in the American College of Emergency Physicians.






Michelle L. Leite, FNP -BC

Michelle Leite graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.  She also completed the University ROTC program and was commissioned as an Air Force officer.  Her first assignment was to Dover Air Force Base as an Air Transportation Officer.  Mrs. Leite spent six years on active and reserve duty reaching the rank of Captain.  She returned to school and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, graduating with high honors from Delaware State University in 1994.  Mrs. Leite worked as a registered nurse for six years at Baptist Memorial Hospital in San Antonio, Texas while her husband completed his last military assignment.  While in San Antonio, she earned a Master of Science Degree from University of Texas Health Science Center, graduating suma cum laude from the Family Nurse Practitioner program in 2000.  She and her family returned to Delaware that same year.

Prior to her employment with Express Care, Mrs. Leite worked nearly seven years for Bayhealth as a nurse practitioner in both the Occupational Health and Walk-In clinics. Additionally, she spent several years employed as adjunct faculty for Delaware State University in the role of clinical instructor. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, Delaware Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society.  Her community service includes volunteering for the Special Olympics program performing physical exams for participants lacking access and/or inability to afford health care. In her free time, Mrs. Leite enjoys spending time with her family traveling, going to the beach, or watching a good movie.

Maribel Garcia-Zaragoza, M.D.

Dr. Garcia is a Board Certified internist practicing in Delaware for the last 20 years. She went to medical school at the University Pedro Henriquez Urena in Dominican Republic and did her residency in Youngstown, Ohio. She has served as the Medical Director of Federally Qualified Heath Centers, School Wellness Centers, nursing homes and Walk-In's. She is married and has two wonderful boys, one who has graduated from college and the other currently in high school. In addition to being a physician, Dr. Garcia is an ordained pastor and together with her husband pastors the Maranatha Christian Church in Dover, an anointed and vibrant place of worship. She is involved in mission work in different parts of the world including Haiti, Central and South America
.



Joseph M. Parise, D.O.

Dr. Parise obtained his BA in Biology from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  After college he was a respiratory therapist and then graduated from the US Public Health Service Hospital Physicians Assistant program and worked as a PA in the Public Health and Veterans Administration Systems. In 1984 he graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and after serving an internship at Union Memorial Hospital, he served as General Medical Officer and Flight Surgeon in the U.S. Air Force, obtaining the rank of Major. In 1988 he started private practice and since 1990 has been in private practice in Dover with a specialty of primary care medicine.

Dr. Parise is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Osteopathic Physicians and is a member of the Medical Society of Delaware and the Kent County Medical Society.


Lisa R.Reid, M.D.

Dr. Reid graduated from the Medical College of Virginia and completed a Residency in Family Practice at Harrisburg Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. After completing her medical education she served four years in the U.S. Air Force at Sheppard AFB in Texas. Since moving to Dover in 2001, Dr. Reid has practiced predominately Family Medicine, but also has experience in Walk-In Medicine and Occupational Medicine. Her current full time practice is with Southside Family Medicine. Dr. Reid is Board Certified in Family Medicine.



Christina Bovelsky, M.D.

Dr. Bovelsky received her Medical Degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, KY and went on to complete a residency in Family Medicine at Christiana Care in Newark, DE in June 2009. She received her Board Certification from the American Board of Family Medicine in July 2009 and joined Total Care Physicians in Newark in August 2009 where she practices full time. Dr. Bovelsky also has practiced at the Christiana Medical Aid Unit in Smyrna.



Christy R. Skibicki, M.D.

Dr. Skibicki graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania - Hahnemann University School of Medicine and then completed a residency in Family Medicine at Eglin AFB in Florida. Dr. Skibicki served for an additional 4 years in the U.S. Air Force at Dover AFB prior to joining Express Care fulltime in 2009. In 2010 she returned to Pennsylvania and currently is in full time primary care practice in Dover, Pennsylvania with the Wellspan Health System. Express Care welcomes her back when she has time for an occasional shift. Dr. Skibicki is Board Certified in Family Medicine.



Sandi Voss, FNP-BC

Sandi Voss, FNP-BC is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice.  She completed her undergraduate education at Wesley College, Masters Degree at Widener University and Post Masters certification at Wilmington University.  Ms. Voss has been a nurse practitioner for over 20 years.

Ms.Voss resides in Smyrna with her two sons, Bo and Zach. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Voss is credentialed through the Ambulatory Care Department at Bayhealth Medical Center.



Carole Breitkreitz BC-FNP

Carole Breitkreitz, was born and raised in North Jersey and attended Felician College, graduating Summa Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1986. In 1991 the Breitkreitz family relocated to Dover, Delaware. After devoting 5 years of nursing practice in the Critical Care Units at Bayhealth Medical Center, Kent Campus, she pursued her Bachelors Degree at Wilmington University in 1998, and transferred to the Recovery Room at Bayhealth Medical Center. In 2004 she assumed the role of Charge Nurse at the newly established Delaware Surgery Center and received national certification in Post Anesthesia Care Nursing. In 2005, she made the decision to expand her nursing role and experience and was accepted into the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Wilmington University. Ms. Breitkreitz achieved Board Certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners in 2008. She has three daughters.






John L. Sullivan, PA-C

John Sullivan obtained his Bachelors of Science degree from Drexel University and graduated from Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University Physician Assistant Program. Prior to becoming a PA Mr. Sullivan worked as a paramedic in Kent County, Delaware for a number of years. He also retired from the Delaware Air National Guard with a rank of Master Sergeant. Mr. Sullivan practices full time in the Emergency Department at Bayhealth-Kent General.



Kirsten Opalach, MHS, PA-C

Kirsten Opalach obtained her Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Delaware Technical and Community College and worked as an ultrasound technician for a number of years. She then obtained her Bachelors Degree from Wilmington College and her Master of Health Science degree, Hahnemann Physician Assistant Program through Drexel University in 2007. Ms. Opalach has practiced as a family practice physician assistant.



Tina Dombroski, MPAS, PA-C

Tina Dombroski obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with a Minor in Biology and Psychology from the University of Delaware in 1999. She went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Arcadia University in Glenside, PA, graduating on the Dean's List.  She has practiced as a physicians assistant in a gastroenterology practice and long term care facility in Lewes, Delaware and as a physicians assistant in Glasgow Medical Aid Unit in Newark, Delaware, a walkin care facility. She currently practices in the Kmart-Beebe walkin medical center in Rehobeth, Delaware. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Delaware Academy of Physician Assistants.




Caryn B. Chasanov, FNP-BC

Caryn Chasanov obtained her Associate Degree from Delaware Technical and Community College, BSN from the University of Delaware and her MSN - Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington University. Mrs. Chasanov brings to her advanced nursing practice an extensive amount of critical care nursing experience. In addition to being a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Mrs. Chasanov is also an instructor in Advanced Cardiac Life support. In addition to her work at Express Care, Mrs. Chasanov also works in a pulmonary and endocrine private practice in Lewes, Delaware.




Amy M. Burnett, FNP-C

Amy Burnett obtained her nursing diploma from Washington Hospital Center and her BSN from Westminister College in Salt Lake City, Utah. She obtained her MSN - Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington University. Since obtaining her FNP, Mrs. Burnett has practiced in the Woodbridge High School Wellness Center.




Jeffery C. Myers. PA-C

Jeff Myers obtained his undergraduate degree from Springfield College in Springfield, MA, his Master of Health Science from Eastern College in Pennsylvania and completed the Physician Assistant Program at Drexel University. Mr. Myers currently practices full time at Glasgow Medical Aid Unit in Newark, a walk-in medical care unit. He also has prior experience in pediatric orthopedics care.
John T. Pearson, FNP-C

John Pearson graduated with a BS from Salisbury State University, obtained an Associates Degree in Nursing from Delaware Technical and Community College, his BSN from Wilmington College - Dover and then his MSN - Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington College - Georgetown. Mr. Pearson practices full time at Bayhealth Medical Center as a nurse practitioner in the Anesthesia Department. Mr. Pearson has served over 20 years in the U.S. Army and continues in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Robin Pratola, APN, FNP

Robin Pratola received her Masters Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Wilmington University in 1997. She is Board Certified by the ANCC. Ms. Pratola is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She has numerous years of experience in Walk-In Medicine/Medical Aid Unit practice.




Paula Watson, FNP-BC

Paula Watson was born in Jamaica but migrated to Ontario Canada with her family in her early teens. After graduating from high school she attended Ryerson Polytechnic University where she obtained a bachelor of science in nursing. She later moved to Wilmington, Delaware where she pursued a graduate degree in nursing, graduating from Wilmington University as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After graduation, she became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and took up employment with Delaware Physician Association working eight years as their family nurse practitioner. She later worked for one year with Tri State Cardiology, doing inpatient consultation at Christiana, Wilmington and St. Francis hospitals. She currently holds a full time position as Clinical Coordinator at one of Take Care Health Systems Clinic. She resides in Townsend, Delaware with her husband Rico Watson. They have three daughters and two grandchildren.

Nicole A. Fisher, PA-C

Nicole A. Fisher, PA-C is originally from Newark, Delaware.  She graduated with Honors from Towson University in 1997 with an undergraduate degree in Pre-med and Biology and completed her Masters Degree as a Physician Assistant at the Rutgers-UMDNJ program in New Jersey. She graduated as valedictorian of her class and has first-hand experience as both a dialysis technician and CPR instructor.  She is in full time practice in the Surgical Associates of Eden Hill. Mrs. Fisher is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Delaware Association of Physician Assistants.
